Moon Palace Maiden

The moon is only part of the story here. A maiden carries a lotus beside a white crane, while a rabbit, coins and an incense vessel fill the lower scene. Behind them, palace roofs rise through clouds. An ornate border gives this paint by numbers kit the appearance of a ceremonial printed design, with far more to explore than a simple moon portrait.

A decorative design with a ritual reference

Choose this image for its combination of ornament and joss-paper imagery. The offering-paper reference is part of the subject; the kit itself is a canvas painting project. Small printed inscriptions and border marks should be judged from the preview rather than treated as readable calligraphy.

Look closely at the palace and its companions

Teal robes curl toward the cream clouds, and the crane's raised wing answers the maiden's pose. Pink ribbons interrupt the darker ground. These details give the mythological composition several points of interest, particularly for a painter who enjoys discovering secondary objects while working.

Leave time for the ornament

The moon offers a relatively open passage between more concentrated work on roof tiers, feathers and jewelry. Border details make this a better choice for someone comfortable with small numbered spaces. Work on one decorative area at a time; rushing the perimeter can make the finished image feel less balanced even when the central figure is complete.

The listing provides a 40 × 50 cm numbered canvas with matching acrylic colors and brushes. Decide how you want to support it before starting: No Frame leaves mounting to you, DIY Frame involves assembly, and Framed Canvas offers a stretched surface. Its intricate Chinoiserie ornament benefits from a viewing position where the smaller motifs can be appreciated.

A Creative Project You Can Follow

Choose a design you enjoy and work through the printed guide at your own pace. Paint-by-numbers kits use numbered sections and matching paint colors; Dot Painting sets use printed circles and markers.

Artwork with a Personal Touch

Create the artwork yourself and enjoy the finished result as a display piece or a handmade gift. Calendars, mini sets and full-size canvases each offer a different way to paint and display your work.
