4. Review Your Pre-Production Preview

There is no required painting order. Working from the upper part of the canvas downward may reduce the chance of resting your hand on wet paint.

Use the tip of a fine brush with a controlled amount of paint around eyes, lips, eyebrows and pet facial features. Rest your wrist or the side of your hand on a completely dry area for stability.
If paint crosses an important boundary, let it dry before reshaping the area with the correct neighboring color.

Keep Acrylic Paint Pots Closed
Acrylic paint begins drying when exposed to air. Open only the colors you are currently using when practical and close each lid firmly afterward.
If regular acrylic paint becomes too thick, follow the instructions supplied with the selected product and use a compatible acrylic thinner when required. Do not automatically add water unless the product specifically states that its paint is water-dilutable.
