Part of the PaintEasy Paint by Numbers Series – Today on Canvas. One second remains, the stadium is holding its breath, and a lone kicker steps into a pool of London light. I built this scene after the sudden Cam Little search surge: the London football conversation was the starting point, and I translated that tension into original NFL-inspired football art without a player portrait, team crest, uniform or copied photograph.
The moment just before the crowd erupts
The ball rises through a deep teal sky while the uprights, river reflections and distant clock-tower silhouette pull the eye upward. Broad blue-green shapes make the first sessions calm; amber lights, a white ball trail and small crowd marks add the final tension. The anonymous athlete is small by design, so the picture feels like a memory of a last-second kick rather than official league merchandise.
How I would paint it
Start with the sky and dark stadium bowl, then join the cream field and warm city lights. Leave the pale goalposts and ball trail until the surrounding colors are dry. The clear shapes suit an EASY-ADVANCED painter and make a memorable football gift for a game room, study or modern hallway.

Tips for Painting
Start with the deep teal sky and stadium shadows, then paint the field and warm city lights. Use the smallest brush for the goalposts, ball trail and distant clock tower. Let nearby dark colors dry before adding pale details, and apply a second thin coat where needed.
Match each paint pot to the printed number, paint one section at a time, and clean your brush when changing colors. Try it yourself. It doesn’t need to be perfect.
