Part of the PaintEasy Paint by Numbers Series – Today on Canvas. I began this design with the sky rather than the field: one raven cuts through violet air while a falcon turns into an ember-red cloud bank. The composition grew from the Ravens vs Falcons search conversation, then became an original piece of NFL-inspired football wall art with no team mark, player, broadcast frame or copied stadium photograph.
Two birds carry the rivalry
The raven is heavy and graphic; the falcon is sharper, brighter and faster. Their paths cross above a fictional stadium, turning a game-day matchup into a symbolic wildlife scene that can live well beyond one score. Deep purple, charcoal and red-orange create the tension, while the pale field lights keep the center open. I deliberately used exactly two birds—not a decorative row—so every silhouette has a clear role.
A satisfying change of pace
Paint the large sky bands first, then the dark stadium bowl. The birds reward slower edge work, but their bodies stay in readable shapes rather than tiny feather detail. Finish with the light towers and thin field marks. This EASY-ADVANCED canvas makes a distinctive football gift for a sports room, teen study or contemporary living space.

Tips for Painting
Begin with the broad purple and red-orange sky sections, then fill the stadium and bird bodies. Work slowly around the beaks, claws and wing edges with the smallest brush. Finish with the field markings and warm stadium lights after the darker areas are dry.
Match each paint pot to the printed number, paint one section at a time, and clean your brush when changing colors. Try it yourself. It doesn’t need to be perfect.
