Compact canvases, coordinated subjects and several artworks to complete.
Build a Collection One Mini Canvas at a Time
What Makes a Mini Paint by Numbers Set Different?
Our mini paint by numbers sets combine several individual numbered canvases around one subject, color palette or visual theme. Instead of completing one large painting, you can work through a small collection one canvas at a time.
Each Mini Set canvas measures 15×20cm, approximately 6×8 inches. Most current sets contain six coordinated paintings, while selected products contain four or nine. Always check the individual listing for the exact number of canvases included.
The collection is not limited to children. It includes playful animal, dinosaur and space designs as well as botanical artwork, café scenes, cocktails, travel destinations, abstract compositions and seasonal subjects suited to adults and beginners.
What Comes with a PaintEasy Mini Set?
Each individual 15×20cm canvas is paired with:
- Two painting brushes
- One numbered acrylic paint set
- One pre-numbered mini canvas
Providing supplies for each canvas allows the paintings to be completed independently, worked on at different times or divided among several painters.
The total number of canvases and available frame options vary by product. Review the selected listing before ordering, especially when purchasing a set for a group activity.
Explore Mini Sets by Subject
Animal and Pet Mini Sets
Animal Mini Sets bring several related characters or species into one collection. Current subjects include cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, farm animals, tropical birds, butterflies, marine animals, woodland creatures and safari wildlife.
Browse our broader animal paint by numbers collection when you want to compare Mini Sets with larger animal canvases.
Some sets use simple character portraits and broad backgrounds. Others include patterned fur, feathers, flowers or multiple environmental details. Choose by the numbered layout rather than assuming every small animal painting has the same difficulty.
Flower and Botanical Mini Sets
Flowers are one of the largest themes in the Mini Set collection. Designs include bouquets, tulips, daisies, wildflowers, tropical leaves, potted plants, garden tools and modern botanical patterns.
Explore flower paint by numbers for additional floral artwork in larger formats.
A coordinated floral set can be displayed as one group or separated across a bedroom, kitchen, hallway or workspace. Compare the background colors and flower styles if you want all the finished pieces to feel visually connected.
Food, Bakery and Drink Mini Sets
Food and drink subjects include bread, croissants, donuts, muffins, breakfast dishes, fruit, coffee, matcha, juice, cocktails, ice cream and café-inspired illustrations.
Visit our food and drink paint by numbers collection to explore these subjects across Mini Sets and traditional canvases.
Food Mini Sets can range from playful breakfast characters to more decorative café and cocktail posters. Designs with one large cup, pastry or piece of fruit are generally more approachable than tables containing numerous dishes, glasses and decorative objects.
Travel and City Mini Sets
Travel-themed Mini Sets bring several destinations into one package. Current designs include coastal towns, Mediterranean scenery, world landmarks, city streets, beaches, mountains and transportation.
Browse cityscape paint by numbers for architecture and destination-focused artwork, or explore landscape paint by numbers for paintings centered on natural scenery.
Mini travel collections work well when you want several locations on one gallery wall. They can also be divided so that each person paints a different destination.
Small size does not automatically make a city painting easy. Windows, rooflines, signs, vehicles and landmark details may still require precise brushwork.
Christmas and Halloween Mini Sets
Seasonal Mini Sets include Santa Claus, snowmen, reindeer, gingerbread characters, Christmas trees, black cats, ghosts, pumpkins, witches and Halloween party imagery.
Explore the broader Holiday paint by numbers collection to compare Mini Sets with individual canvases, triptychs, ornaments and other seasonal formats.
Holiday Mini Sets can be painted as one collection, shared during a family activity or displayed as a group of seasonal decorations. Check the number of canvases before matching a set to the number of painters.
Abstract and Lifestyle Mini Sets
Selected Mini Sets use geometric shapes, modern leaves, figure-inspired compositions, jewelry, fashion, books, interiors and everyday lifestyle subjects.
Browse abstract paint by numbers when you prefer color, shape and composition over a literal animal, destination or holiday scene.
These sets can create a more grown-up decorative style for desks, bedrooms, home offices and compact gallery walls.
Space, Dinosaurs and Imaginative Worlds
Rocket ships, astronauts, planets, aliens, dinosaurs, fairy gardens, wizard tools and fantasy characters give younger painters several connected scenes to explore.
For more age-appropriate designs in different formats, visit paint by numbers for kids.
Look at both the recommended audience and the numbered layout. A familiar subject can make a project more appealing, but it does not determine the size of the individual painting sections.
Mini Paint by Numbers for Adults
Mini painting is not only a children’s activity. Adults can choose from cocktails, coffee, travel, coastal landscapes, botanicals, abstract shapes, women’s lifestyle artwork and decorative still lifes.
The compact format makes it possible to complete a collection gradually. You can paint one canvas, put the remaining pieces away and return to the set when you are ready for another subject.
Mini Sets are also useful when you want to explore several visual styles before committing to a larger canvas. A coordinated group of small paintings may provide more variety than one extended composition.
Choose the artwork according to your decorating style and preferred level of detail rather than selecting solely by the size of the canvas.
Mini Paint by Numbers for Kids
Many current Mini Sets use colorful animals, food, vehicles, gardens, dinosaurs and space themes created for younger painters.
Clear outlines and recognizable objects can make selected designs approachable, but parental supervision may still be appropriate when children are using acrylic paint or handling small kit components.
Each child can complete one canvas independently when the set contains enough paintings and supplies for the group. Alternatively, one child can work through the collection over several creative sessions.
Choose according to the child’s interests and ability to follow numbered sections. A colorful design with numerous tiny objects may require more patience than a simpler animal or food portrait.
Mini Sets for Beginners
A beginner-friendly Mini Set generally uses larger color sections, clear boundaries and one main subject on each canvas.
Compact size can feel less intimidating than one large canvas, but “mini” and “easy” do not mean the same thing. A small city, detailed flower bouquet or group of tiny characters may still need careful brush control.
Before choosing, compare:
- The number of canvases in the set
- The amount of detail on each canvas
- The number of small faces, windows or decorative objects
- Whether the backgrounds use broad or closely packed sections
- The intended audience and stated difficulty

Four-, Six- and Nine-Canvas Mini Sets
Most PaintEasy Mini Sets currently contain six coordinating canvases. Selected collections contain four or nine.
Four-Canvas Sets
A four-piece collection can be arranged in a square, displayed in one row or divided between two small areas. It may be a suitable choice when you want a coordinated group without committing to a larger number of paintings.
Six-Canvas Sets
Six-piece sets offer several display arrangements. A 3×2 grid creates one compact gallery, while a horizontal row can suit a shelf or hallway.
The six canvases can also be divided between painters during a family activity or paint night.
Nine-Canvas Sets
A nine-piece set creates a larger overall project even though every individual canvas remains compact. A 3×3 layout provides a balanced gallery, while smaller groups can be displayed in different rooms.
Consider the total painting and display space required before choosing a nine-canvas collection.
Paint One Canvas or Share the Entire Set
Complete the Collection Gradually
You do not need to open and paint every canvas at once. Choose one design, keep its paint set and brushes together and store the remaining supplies until you are ready for the next project.
This approach helps prevent paint pots from being opened unnecessarily and makes the set easier to organize.
Create a Family Painting Activity
Choose a set with enough canvases for everyone and assign one design to each painter. Animal, food, holiday and space collections provide recognizable subjects that can work for mixed-age groups.
Check the individual difficulty when children and adults will be painting together. Not every design within a broad theme requires the same level of brush control.
Organize a Paint Night
Mini Sets can be used for birthdays, casual gatherings, holiday activities or creative evenings at home.
Because each canvas is paired with its own brushes and numbered paint set, participants can work independently without needing to share every color or wait for one brush.
Match the number of canvases to the number of guests before ordering. A four-piece set, six-piece set and nine-piece set support different group sizes.
Divide the Set into Small Gifts
Individual mini paintings can be completed and given separately, or selected canvases can be paired with their own supplies as small creative gifts.
Keep each canvas with its matching numbered paint set. Paint numbers and colors may differ between designs, even when the finished artworks share one theme.
Displaying a Mini Painting Collection
Create a Compact Gallery Wall
Lay the completed paintings on the floor or a large table before attaching them to the wall. This allows you to compare the spacing and order without making unnecessary holes.
A four-piece set can form a 2×2 square, six pieces can form a 3×2 grid and nine pieces can form a 3×3 arrangement. These are starting points rather than required layouts.
Use Shelves, Desks and Small Corners
Mini canvases can add artwork to spaces that may not suit a large painting. Consider a bookshelf, desk, bedside table, kitchen shelf or narrow hallway.
A single mini painting can be displayed alone, while the remaining pieces can be rotated throughout the year.
Separate the Paintings by Room
A coordinated set does not have to remain together. Food and drink paintings may suit a kitchen, botanical pieces can be placed near a desk, and travel scenes can be distributed across a hallway or bedroom.
Repeating colors or subjects will still help the separated pieces feel connected.
Plan the Frames Before Painting Everything
Frame availability varies between products. Check the selected option and exact contents before assuming that every canvas will arrive framed.
If you plan to use your own frames, confirm the individual canvas dimensions and measure the total arrangement, including the space between paintings.
Tips for Painting Small Canvases
Keep Each Canvas with Its Own Paints
When several canvases are open, it can be easy to mix paint sets or preview images. Keep one canvas, its numbered paints and its brushes together until that painting is complete.
A small label or separate tray can help organize a group painting session.
Stabilize the Canvas
Place the mini canvas on a clean, flat surface. Rotate it when a different angle gives you better control over a narrow boundary.
Resting your wrist beside the canvas can help with small sections, provided the surrounding paint is already dry.
Use a Small Amount of Paint
Miniature sections rarely need a heavily loaded brush. Use the tip of the brush near eyes, flower centers, windows, lettering and other small details.
Too much paint can cross several nearby boundaries at once. Add another controlled layer after drying when greater coverage is required.
Add Water Sparingly When Needed
PaintEasy Mini Set acrylic paints are water-dilutable. If a color needs loosening, add only a very small amount of clean water and mix carefully.
Too much water can reduce opacity and make it more difficult to cover the printed number. Test the consistency before adding more.
Let Pale Colors Dry Before Recoating
White, cream, yellow, pale pink and light blue may need a second layer where the printed number remains visible.
Allow the first layer to dry before applying more paint. Repeated brushing over partially dried acrylic can create uneven coverage.
Move Finished Canvases to a Separate Drying Area
When several people are painting, provide a clean area for completed pieces. Keep wet canvases away from paint pots, sleeves and other artworks.
Do not stack the paintings until every surface is completely dry.
Choose Your Mini Set by More Than Size
Start with the subject that interests you, then compare the number of canvases, difficulty, color palette and display possibilities.
Choose animals or fantasy for playful character art, flowers and abstract designs for decorative interiors, food and drinks for kitchens and cafés, travel scenes for destination-inspired walls, or holiday designs for seasonal activities.
