What Makes a Paint by Numbers Kit Beginner-Friendly?

Larger, Clearly Separated Color Sections

The size of the numbered sections is one of the most useful indicators of difficulty. Broad shapes are easier to fill neatly and allow you to see visible progress during each painting session.

Very narrow lines, tightly packed facial details, intricate fur and complex backgrounds generally require more brush control. If this is your first project, choose a design that contains a comfortable mixture of broad and medium-sized areas.
