christmas-toad-station-door-sign
Christmas Toad Station Door Sign

A toad welcomes the Christmas train

The green toad stands front and center wearing antlers and a Santa hat, holding a wreath against its round body. Behind it, a red-roofed station and a small steam train sit beneath snowy mountains. The playful greeting makes this a character-led choice from our Christmas painting designs.

A compact sign with a complete little scene

There is more here than the toad's broad green body: the greeting, wreath, train windows and station trim need smaller strokes. We rate the design medium for adults rather than calling every section easy. Older children may enjoy working on it with help on the lettering and tight details.

Paint directly on the shaped wooden board

This Door Sign kit uses a numbered wooden surface instead of a canvas. The board measures approximately 8 × 6 in (20 × 14 cm) and comes with matching acrylic paints, three brushes and a natural rope hanger.

Keep the greeting and wreath readable

Fill the sky and station walls first, then use a lightly loaded fine brush around the letters and bow. Let neighboring colors dry before adding the pale highlights. Several short sessions are useful for this small-format project, which also belongs among our Crafted Essentials.

Allow the painted board to dry fully before attaching the hanger. An indoor door or entryway wall keeps its seasonal welcome close enough for visitors to notice the tiny train.
